Mario Isola, director of Pirelli Motorsport, considers the addition of the FSC logo on its Formula 1 tyres for the 2024 season as a small detail but one of great significance. Sustainability in motorsport, including striving for net zero emissions by 2030 in F1, has gained importance in recent years. Pirelli provided 8,016 sets of tyres last year and has been reducing its footprint, achieving FSC-certified status as part of its journey. Pirelli has also enhanced production methods to boost its green initiatives, such as using recycled tyres and renewable electricity. Additionally, the company focuses on recovery and recycling of all tyres used during F1 events, showcasing an ongoing commitment to sustainability.
